Day 1: Departure

Departure from Schiphol Airport. Arrived perfectly on time: we had to be there around 11:30, I was present at 10:30 already as there was not a lot of traffic on the road. At that time nobody from Djoser (travelling agency that organized the whole trip) in sight.

At about 11:00 I see somebody I know from work: Peter Paul. He worked on the same project as I did for a few month. To make it even more surprising: he is on the same holiday as I am.

At 11:15 somebody from Djoser arrives, after checking in I discovered I forgot my sunglasses and bought the cheapest I could find tax-free.

Boarding the airplane, we are taking Cathay Pacific, nice and luxurious: every body got his own LCD tv screen, free headsets, choice from about 47 channels (usually 1 channel English, the 2nd in a separate languange). Some new movies (well for that time) including Scooby Doo, the Bourne Identity, Sum of all fears, Signs and loads more.
