Day 10: Napier

Early wakeup by everybody. Since everybody slept in one large room, the first to wake up also wakes up the rest of the group. As we only leave around 07:30 there is plenty of time to slowly wake up. Breakfast is simple with toast.

Around 07:35 the bus arrives and we leave. Along the way to Napier we stop at a few sites for the view.

Around 13:00 we arive in Napier, the hotel view is incredible: we can directly see the ocean just across the road.

We walked around in the town a bit. There is an art-deco tour around the buildings in the town (it was rebuild after an earthquake in art-deco style).

After attempting a few times to get to a view point we struck luck. There is no sign indicating the viewpoint, just a change in the railing at the road. The view however was very good.

As I was wearing my new hiking shoes that weren't trodden in yet, I had some problems and decided to take the old shoes the next day.
