Day 15: Fox glacier

Left Greymouth without breakfast, which we take in Hokitika. Bought my only souvenir there

Continued the trip to Fox Glacier where some of the group planned to take the helicopter up the glacier around 15:00. Up till 15 minutes before take off it is unclear if the helicopter can make the trip (quite a bit of wind on the glacier). Sadly our trip was canceled. A large part of the group took the trip up the glacier by walking. You won't get as high as a helicopter, but it doesn't have the same weather dependency as the helicopter does.

After dinner we went for a view of the glowworms. They started charging 2 dollars for that however and we weren't in a spending mood. Only good thing of the day is the impressive sunset I managed to get some nice pictures off.
