Around 10:00 we leave for Te Anau. Around 11:00 we make a small tourist
stop at a historic steam locomotive that was about to leave. After that
we went to Te Anau in one go, it wasn't that far away.
Here we (well, the Hong Kong 5 that is) decide to have a barbeque. Guest of honor for it will be the salmon that one of us caught in Queenstown. Did some major shopping: more meat, spices, wine, etc. After setting everything up we went for a walk around the town and hang out a bit. Around 17:00 we start the barbeque (gas barbeque, no coals :( ). First the salmon: there wasn't enough to file it so we just had portions. Took a bit to get rid of the grates but that wasn't so hard, besides it tasted great. Halfway through the barbeque we had a break because everybody was pretty full at the moment. Around that time some Australians showed up that wanted to throw something on the barbeque as well so that wasn't any problem as we didn't use it at that time. After the break we finished everything up. |
