Around 09:30 we stop at Parry Kauri Park and hugged a tree (brings good luck apparently, all I can say is that we had very good weather for the rest of the vacation). The tree has a diameter of about 2.5 till 3 meter -> one big tree. We walked around in the park a bit and wend on.

Made a small stop for coffee before reaching our destination: Paihia. We sleep in resorts: separate houses completely furnished with oven, micro-wave, fridge, etc.

After getting settled we take a walk around 15:00. Starting at a waterfall, we end up at the parking place of a golf course 2 hours later. Along the way we even walk through a mangrove forest.

After arriving at the golf course we had to walk about 45 minutes more to reach the bus that took us back. We had dinner in the restaurant of the resort.
