Day 7: To Rotorua

At 08:00 we get in the bus again for a long trip to Rotorua. We make a short coffee stop on the same location as we did from Auckland to Paihia. Around 13:00 we are in Auckland again and stop for lunch. Went to a McDonalds to compare them against the Dutch version. I had the McNuggets and they are the same, only the barbeque sauce is a bit different. Had some stops at nice locations to stretch the legs and enjoy the view.

Around 17:30 we arrive in Kiwi International Villa's hotel where we will spend the night. Before night though we get into town and walk through one of the parks. Rotorua has a lot of natural hot water springs due to some vulcanic activity. You also get the smell of that with it (rotten eggs).

Had dinner at a Scottish restaurant, tasted pretty good. As it was dark now we walked back, during our walk we passed the visitors centre, a nice piece of building that totally did not match the environment.

After reaching the hotel, some of us go for a dive in the heated pool
