This is an electronic version of the diary I kept during my holiday in New Zealand.

If you want to order a picture, you can try this page on pixum that contains a selection of the photo's I made. You can order them from there and you'll get it in the mail at home. You can also send a mail to me, but be aware: they are between 1 MB and 2 MB in size if I mail them. The pictures on this website are a lot smaller though, so no need to worry.

The diary is set up in a page per day fashion so here is the index:

Some pieces of information about New Zealand and my trip:

  • 20 persons in the group
  • Beds in New Zealand are pretty small. I could fit but just a bit to spare(1.82 meters)
  • It takes some time getting used to the fact that people drive on the left side of the road and you have to check the right side of the road twice to make sure you are not overrun.
  • Every restaurant has some fish meals and often also a fish-of-the-day
  • Digital camera's are handy
  • Made 1300 photo's, about 3 GB. Good thing I had a mindstor (bad thing: mindstor is out of business)
  • Lots of cash machines
  • The only bill the cash machines have is 20 NZ dollars. That was at that time about 0.5 euro (1 euro = 1 dollar if you dont look to close) so you usually had quite a lot of bills.

And for an overal pic of the group:
